A proposed Referendum--Convention of the Counites--Oregon Constitution

REFERENDUM FOR THE PEOPLE OF OREGON, A CONSTITIONAL AMENDMENT

CONVENTION OF THE COUNTIES—

OREGON CONSTITUTION

The Convention of the Counties is the way we can push back on the one party rule we have in Oregon and even the playing field. It mirrors Article V in the U.S. Constitution, though Article V has never been used.
First; if 2/3s, or 24, of the County Commissioner Boards call for a convention, one County Commissioner per County will be sent to the convention to represent that county. They can, pass new laws, repeal laws passed by the legislature i.e. they can repeal the minimum wage bill, they can propose an amendment like Impeaching the Governor or Secretary of State and Treasurer. This would override the Emergency Clause Rule.
Second; After they pass a referendum, it would be referred back to the county for a popular vote. If 75% or 27 counties approve it becomes law. The Governor cannot veto.
I am not a novice nor am I naïve. I know we will have a huge push back, from the Democrats and we will need to be prepared for that. I want to make this measure bullet proof. So please give me feedback.
Over the next 6 months I will be going to all the county Commissioner Boards that are dominated Republican or have at least one Republican on the Board. I will also visit all Republican County Central Committees around this state and go to every single conservative group I can talk to.
If you would like me to come and speak to your group or have feedback please share with me.
